Maison&Objet, Paris

5-9 September, 2014

(In)edible Lithuanian design
Formal aprons, nail-less furniture, (in)edible jewellery, writable T-shirts and other outstanding innovative designs from Lithuania add a vibrant spice to the Maison&Objet international design exhibition in Paris.

5 prominent designers from Lithuania, calling themselves daydreamers and shifting their ideas into smart designs, are exhibiting together in the united “MADE IN LITHUANIA” stand in Hall 8  (now! Design à vivre).

Tadam! Design (www.Tadamdesign.com) will make mouths water by presenting their national design award winner – the “delicious” fashion jewellery collection “The Sweet Course for Your Eyes”, looking and even smelling like real freshly baked dessert bites.

Aiste Nesterovaite (www.aistenesterovaite.com) is proud to present a collection of aprons that could easily migrate between a restaurant, an office, or even a dirty workspace. Whether is it cooking, fixing a bike or gardening — the aprons will make you always look solemn and elegant.

Designers of Okiiko (www.okiiko.eu), very distinct in their search for the desired forms and colour combinations, will exhibit their memorable contemporary jewellery collection, echoing architectural lines and shapes.

Kirigami Design (www.kirigamidesign.com) is a product design studio, which brand originates from the Japanese art of Kirigami. It enables compact spaces with the best possible solution. The companies main markets are major cosmopolitan cities: Tokyo, Paris, London, New York. Kirigami Design produces exceptional modular furniture and accessories, which creates thoughtfulness, affordable and functional design.

The team of March (www.march.lt) constantly observe things of daily use in a quest to find a gap and design new products. Designers reinvent things that no one ever thought of before: writable T-shirts, washable paper tablecloth, handmade Tea-spoons saturated with natural herbs, minimalistic reflective badges, suitable for any outfit, and other playful designs.

Lithuanian design studios carry a few shinny design awards: national design awards GERAS DIZAINAS, international design award A’DESIGN AWARD 2015.

Second year in a row Lithuanian design objects were selected by trend forecasting agency NELI RODI for a special expo display on the theme “Smart life“.

This year the leader of international design styling has picked the Lithuanian Design brand  Tadam! with its (in)edible jewellery collection “The Sweet Course for Your Eyes”.
